Trade your TOO'S for TA DA'S

Sweet sister-it's so true. There is something your Father has placed in you (and only you) that this world needs.

*Insert all the "too's".....

But I'm too:

Can I lovingly tell you something? It's not just about YOU. What is in you is there for someone else too. When God revealed this to me, it changed everything. I realized how selfish I was being with all that God has placed in me. Here I was critiquing every single thing the creator of the universe purposely placed inside of me. Wishing I was less this and more that.

Think of a child who spends all day painting a picture, then presents it to you with that big, cheesy, smile and a proud "TA DA!!!"

You would never say "Ummm...that blue you picked-it's not really blue ENOUGH. That sun is too small. That's not the right skin color. That body is too big."

This is exactly what we are doing when we declare our "too's". We are telling God "your painting is ugly-try again." God created you as a masterpiece. Every personality trait, physical part of you, thing that has happened to you is a brush stroke on your canvas.

"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

Ephesians 2:10

The same God that tells the sun when to shine and the wind where to blow used His hands to create YOU! Everything that was placed inside of you is purposely there. Everything that is left out is purposely left out.

I've always been shy in large groups, a soft speaker, probably the most sensitive person alive, and cry 2.7 times daily. Yet I find myself around women that are the exact opposite-powerful, strong, enthusiastic, well spoken, seemingly fearless. I would always ask God to give me those traits and even at times try to imitate them. Can I tell you how uncomfortable and awkward I am when I try to be loud?!? It's truly laughable. God finally showed me that He purposely made me exactly how I am to relate to exactly who I need to impact.

He revealed "I've already got one of her and her...and they're doing what I've called them to do with it....when you're ready to be who I created you to be, I can use you too." Gulp.

Now as I embrace the soft colors and shapes He chose to use for me, I am meeting so many woman that just need someone to listen, to care, to cry with them, to relate to them-and that's who He made me to be. For Him. For myself. And for them.

The verse above also shows us that He prepared our purpose before He even created us. Take a gander at Jeremiah 1:5 as well.

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart..."

I beg of you to embrace exactly who He has fearfully and wonderfully made you to be. The world needs it.

Let's pray.

I thank you for who I am. I am sorry for all the times I have complained about my personality, my body, my life, my experiences. I choose today to fully embrace every part of what you designed me to be. Reveal to me those inner most parts of myself and how I can use them to help others and bring glory to you. I submit myself as a living sacrifice to be used for your kingdom. I will no longer let the enemy tell me I'm not enough of something or too much of something. I am who you say I am.

In Jesus name, Amen.
